Description: To foster a love of reading by providing a team to compete at the district and regional competitions. Students are responsible for reading selected books for comprehension, becoming familiar with the characters and stories. Students memorize titles and authors, write BOB formatted questions that cover the books they read, and discuss the books with others in the club. Out of the initial group, a team of 8 – 12 students will be chosen to represent the school in the BOB competition. The competition resembles a spelling bee type format in which students are asked a question about a book. The correct response is always the title and author of the book.
Meeting Time & Location: The BOB club meets 2:45-4:00 Every Thursday
Member Qualifications: Any student in grades 4 – 5 who enjoy reading.
